Salok, Third Mehla:
siqgur kI syvw sPl hY jy ko kry icqu lwie ]
sathigur kee saevaa safal hai jae ko karae chith laae ||
Fruitful is service to the True Guru, if one does so with a sincere mind.
nwmu pdwrQu pweIAY AicMqu vsY min Awie ]
naam padhaarathh paaeeai achi(n)th vasai man aae ||
The treasure of the Naam, is obtained, and the mind comes to be free of anxiety.
jnm mrn duKu ktIAY haumY mmqw jwie ]
janam maran dhukh katteeai houmai mamathaa jaae ||
The pains of birth and death are eradicated, and the mind is rid of egotism and self-conceit.

outham padhavee paaeeai sachae rehai samaae ||
One achieves the ultimate state, and remains absorbed in the True Lord.
